PRACTICE AREAS
FAMILY LAW
Family Law or Domestic Relations covers a myriad of legal actions such as prenuptial agreements, adoption, divorce, child custody, child support, modification actions, contempt of court, and surrogacy planning. These areas can be difficult to navigate and highly emotional for all parties involved. Malia understands the stress of these difficult decisions and works closely with clients to assist in obtaining the best possible outcome, whether through an agreement, mediation, or litigation.
CRIMINAL DEFENSE
Being arrested is a situation that no one wants to find himself in. If you are facing criminal charges you need to know your rights, protect your rights, and secure the best possible defense. Whether it's DUI & driving offenses, traffic violations, juvenile crime, drug crimes, theft and property crimes or any other matter for which you have been arrested, Malia will assess your case and help make sure you get fair treatment while protecting your rights and securing the most preferable outcome
REAL ESTATE
Whether you are dealing with commercial or residential property, Malia can assist you with your contracts, rental agreements, title work, closing, land line disputes, transfer of property, foreclosure issues and other real estate matters. She will walk you through each step of the transactional process. She is also prepared to litigate real estate disputes should they arise.
PERSONAL INJURY
Being injured as the result of someone else’s negligence can have long lasting effects, create stress and financial burdens, permanent injuries and chronic pain. It is in your best interest to retain skillful legal counsel because insurance companies are in the business of making money and limiting their exposure, not paying claims. Malia will review all aspects of your case and work diligently on your behalf for the best resolution.
SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY
If you or a loved one has experienced a permanent disabling illness or an injury, you may be eligible to receive Social Security benefits. The process of actually getting benefits can be long, confusing and discouraging and most people cannot navigate the system on their own and just give up. Malia has successfully handled hundreds of Social Security Disability cases and will assess your case to get the disability benefits you need.
WILLS/TRUSTS/PROBATE
When a loved one passes away, it is a very difficult time. Malia can guide you through the process of handling the estate to make the process less taunting.
We can also assist in your estate planning needs in creating your Will, Trust, Power of Attorney, or Healthcare Directive to make your wishes known.
BUSINESS LAW
If you are starting a new business or need internal business contracts or agreements or have other business needs, Malia can work with you to ensure smooth operations.
CIVIL LITIGATION
Civil litigation encompasses a broad range of disputes. As a litigator, Malia handles contract disputes, real estate lawsuits, and some employment suits. She will review your case and advocate in court and out of court to reach your desired results.
GUARDIANSHIPS/
