Marsica Massarelli-Duran
Marsica, who goes by "Mars", hails from Miami, Florida. She is a Florida Registered Paralegal who also holds a Georgia and Florida Real Estate License. Mars is a graduate of Florida International University, with a Bachelor’s in Hospitality Management.
Marsica has been in the legal field for the past 20 years. She has practiced with several well-reputed law firms, one of which was Burr & Forman, LLP in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she was the managing partner’s legal assistant and paralegal for many years. She has been a Real Estate Sales Associate since 2007 and prior to getting into law, she worked for Norwegian Cruise Lines as a Group Reservation Agent.
When not in the office, Marsica enjoys taking cruises, being outdoors, roadtrips, and spending time with her husband, son, and great dane, "Tiny". She also volunteers with Florida Parrot Rescue. We are very happy to have Marsica on the Phillips-Lee Law team.

Malia Phillips-Lee
In 2019, after 11 years of practicing law in mid-large size law firms, Malia Phillips-Lee decided to start her own firm in her beloved hometown of Colquitt, Georgia. She is a graduate of The Florida State University College of Law. She is licensed to practice in both Georgia and Florida.
Prior to her solo practice, Malia served as a law clerk for the Honorable Richard Porter (Senior Judge) and the Honorable A. Wallace Cato, (Retired) Chief Judge of the South Georgia Judicial Circuit, who was the longest sitting Superior Court Judge in the State of Georgia. She practiced with the well-reputed law firms of Whitehurst, Blackburn & Warren in Thomasville, Georgia, and Harrell & Harrell in Jacksonville, Florida, where she lead the firm's Social Security Disability and Worker's Compensation practice.
She was involved in the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia for 7 years, serving on its executive council for two years, as well as the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar. She was admitted to both the Georgia and the Florida Bars in 2008, to practice in all Florida and Georgia state courts, including administrative courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court. She is also admitted to practice in the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and Middle District of Georgia, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Prior to attending law school, Malia taught high school English and Spanish for 8 years in Georgia.
Malia is also very community-minded. She is the president and director of the Miss Colquitt Pageant, a preliminary to the Miss National Peanut Festival Pageant, which is held in Dothan, Alabama each year. She is Chairperson of the Colquitt/Miller County Chamber of Commerce and has served on its executive board for the past for the past 3 years as member-at-large and vice-chair. She also serves as a youth mentor for Miller County Elementary School's mentorship program and serves as a member of the board and on the business committee for the Miller County High School CTAE Advisory Committee (Career, Technical and Agricualtural Education). When not in the office, Malia enjoys traveling, hosting parties with her husband, and University of Georgia football. Her hobby is special occasion hair and makeup and making others feel beautiful. She loves spending time with her husband, family and friends.
